The Management of Perforated Appendicitis by Dr. John F. Gile '16 and Dr. John P. Bowler '15, a paper read before the section on surgery at the 85th annual session of the American Medical Association, Cleveland, June 14, 1934, has been reprinted from the December 8 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. This article contains reports of cases of appendicitis for the six years from January 1, 1928 to January 1, 1934. These years were used because at the beginning of that period occurred the opening of Dick's House, at which institution 110 so-called controlled groups were treated. In the hospital itself 791 so-called uncontrolled groups were treated in this same period.
