Joe Weitzel, who every month has some proud boast about the Club and its equipment, was happy to announce that the Club has been serving beer again for several weeks. Just to show you the kind of life we lead, we didn't even know that the Club had stopped serving beer, but it seems that the strange little tin pot, for years a landmark and beacon for thirsty Dartmouths, had finally broken down from continual overwork. The new little tin pot looks exactly like the old one, except that it's a little shinier, and it delivers just as much foam before it condescends to give down any beer.
In spite of this attraction, scotch is still the favorite drink of New York Dartmouths, according to Charley, the amiable and harrassed barkeep. Deeply interested in this trend, we ordered some scotch, curious to see what this drink tasted like. It wasn't bad, in spite of a sort of peatsmoke flavor, and we recommend it to all our readers.
