The colorful sport of skiing has gained tremendously in popularity at Dartmouth during the last two years, partly as a result of the two unusually rigorous winters and partly because of the mighty impetus which skiing has received all over New England since about 1932. The Hanover hills are literally speckled with hundreds of novices and adepts on any winter afternoon, while nearby downhill trails are tackled by steadily growing numbers of would-be experts, as Dartmouth gets more and more ski-conscious.
