THE EVENING OF December 29 found the Club House packed to the doors with 96 men still hungry for football. The occasion was our annual Christmas Holiday reception for undergraduates and prospective freshmen, this year taking the form of a football smoker, with Dave Camerer '37 and John Merrill '37, varsity tackle and end respectively, as the speakers. Stage properties included a large blackboard on which the intricacies of such secrets as the Mousetrap Play were carefully explained, and three reels of movies of this season's games. All in all, a grand party.

On January 9 the local contingent took over a block of seats for the Penn-Dartmouth basketball game. Unfortunately we weren't able to teach Penn anything about the game that they didn't already know, and so we went home on the short end of a too one-sided score. Nevertheless we'll all be back again next year, implicit in the faith that we still can beat Penn on her home court.
