WE HAD A dinner for Dean Neidlinger, Tuesday night, March 30, at the Commonwealth Club. It was 100% successful, with a turn-out of twenty-five members, more than we expected as it was a week night and we are so scattered here. Dr. J. W. Lambert, dean of freshman at William & Mary College, and Mr. A. H. Ochsner, father of Seymour Ochsner '37, were guests. Andy Gustafson came up from Virginia Beach with R. G. Eaton '26.
After dinner Andy Gustafson told us briefly about the football outlook next year. Then Dean Neidlinger after telling us that conditions at Dartmouth, except for a few weak spots, were "swell," gave us a most interesting talk elaborating on these conditions.
Afterwards, Dr. VanderHoof, president of the club showed us on his moving picture machine the new film "Life at Dartmouth" which made those who had not been to Hanover for some years realize the great strides the College is making.
While it is always an occasion when the Dartmouth crowd gets together, it was especially so this time as it was the first time most of us had met Dean Neidlinger and it is unnecessary to add that he made a fine impression on everybody. He and Charlie Milham, whose guest he was in Williamsburg, left the next day for the Atlanta Powwow that week-end.
