There was an error in the November notes;—Fuddy Wood, and not Newton, wrote the sketch about George Fowler. In answer to the Secretary's letter confessing his error, Wood said, among other things, that Mrs. Wood was busy painting and that the two of them were "jogging along."

In October the Kellys celebrated a birth- day for Lillian at the home of their son, Dr. William P. Kelly Jr., in Carmel, N. Y. David and his wife and two children were present, so the family party with four grandchildren was complete. The next day, Biff and Lillian took luncheon with the Thurstons and, after their siestas, drove on to Dave's home in Madison, N. J. When asked if he had been warm enough while lying down Biff said, "I don't know, I was unconscious."
