THE ANNUAL PICNIC held last June and attended by some 40 of the local alumni was a good party but disappointing in that the single men, despite the rain drenched cheers of our wives, defeated the married boys. With such big guns at the bat silent as Bob Chittum '30 and Ed Norton '28, we could do little with Merrill Heald's '34 curves. Thus, the ninth inning ran out 5 to 4 in favor of the bachelors.
