Professors H. T. French M'14, and F. H. Connell of the Medical faculty presented the results of a five-year study on "The Incidence and Results of Treatment in Subclinical Amebiasis" at the annual meeting of the A. M. A. May 1.7 in St. Louis.
Dr. Robert D. Fairchild M'31, a fellow in surgery at the Mayo Clinic came to town in May while on a tour of eastern clinical centers.
Dr. Ruggles A. Cushman M'83, is medical superintendent of the Mendocino State Hosp. in Cal. Lt. Col. Henry S. Beckford M'gg, has retired from the Medical Corps, U. S. A., and is living in Vancouver, Wash. Dr. Burt Franklin Jenness M' 99, is Asst. Prof, of Biological Sciences and Health Officer at the College of Mines, El Paso, Texas. Dr. Harry M. Lowd Sr. M'01, has a son Harry Jr. M' 37, in the senior class of the Medical School at the Univ. of Rochester. Dr. Walter A. Bartlett M'll, has sons Arnold Whitney and Thomas Eastman in the classes of '41 at Dartmouth and Cornell respectively. Dr. Leroy T. Stokes M'13, has two sons, Gilbert Elliott and Gordon Dudley, in the class of '40 at Dartmouth.
Dr. H. A. Poindexter M' 27, is the author of "The Four Major Handicaps in the Normal Growth and Development of Rural Negro Children in the Southern States" published in the September issue of the American Journal of Public Health. Dr. Charles Greenberg M' 29, is Senior Asst. Physician at the Harlem Valley Hosp. Dr. Stuart B. Smith M' 34, is Resident Physician at Lawrence Hosp., Bronxville. Dr. William M. Downing M'35, is a house officer at Mass. Memorial Hosp. Dr. Richard W. Smith M'35, is Resident Physician at the Cape Cod Hosp., Hyannis. Dr. William S. Butts M' 36, is on the house staff at University Hosp., lowa City. Dr. George R. Dochat M' 36, is on the house staff at Geisinger Hosp., Danville, Pa.
Dr. Clifford W. Mills M' 36, is house officer at Norwalk, Conn. Dr. W. Cameron Mumler M' 36, will complete in August a house staff appointment at Presbyterian Hosp., Chicago. Dr. Edwin J. O'Brien Jr. M' 36, is on the house staff at Muhlenberg Hosp., Plainfield, N. J. Dr. Richard C. Potter Jr. M' 36, is interning at Harper in Detroit. Dr. John R. Ross M' 36, is on the house staff at JBellevue Hosp. John T. Cartwright M' 37, will intern at the Pennsylvania Univ. Hosp. next year. Walter E. Chase M' 37, will begin an eighteen month appointment at Hitchcock Hosp. in October. J. Allison Montague M' 37, will be a member of the house staff of French Hosp. in New York for 1939-40. Douglas H. Robertson M' 37, has received a two-year appointment at Abington, Pa. Norman Simon M' 37, will be on the house staff of the surgical service at Mt. Sinai, New York for 1940.
