OUR MEETING ON DARTMOUTH NIGHT will be the third since the "summer vacation." New arrivals whom we have been glad to welcome are: Laurence Dalton '18, recently appointed manager of the local office of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company; Dick Kenney '40, in real estate business; James Ripley '26. Others spotted, but not yet seen, are: Bucher '32; Haslam '39; Little '39; Small '10; also Charlie Shafer '33, whom we are glad to have in town again.

The Secretary has recently compiled and distributed a directory of alumni residing in the Baltimore area, nearly a hundred names in all. Of these some forty are more or less active members, while twenty-five is about our limit for attendance at any one meeting. It is hoped that the new directory will be the means of enlisting the interest of a few whom we have not yet reached.

Art. Flinner '35, our "entertainment chairman," has set to work vigorously on plans for the winter and has secured the promise of a speaker from Hanover for a midwinter meeting, but he is leaving us soon for military service. We hope it will not be for long, for his enthusiasm for Dartmouth and for the club, and his willingness to work for them, have made him seem well nigh indispensable.
