DARTMOUTH NIGHT STARTED the winter season of activities in Detroit, being celebrated by 40 members of the alumni association attending a dinner at the University Club. Colored movies from the college film library furnished part of the entertainment, with the projector being ably operated by Dave Williams '35. Music and singing were accompanied on the piano by Jim Taylor '21 and Ford Blickley '28 and the rest of the fun was furnished by the group. President Jim Bear '19 led the meeting.

Joint meetings were held throughout the fall with the various alumni groups to receive the football broadcasts. Those for the Yale and Cornell games brought the biggest turnouts.

New additions to the already large group of '39ers in town are Howard Nopper and Al Loberg. Bill Bachman is back at Tuck School and Ray Newton at Harvard Business School.

During the Christmas holidays, a luncheon was held for the undergraduates and applicants. This affair brought a record luncheon turnout of 42. Members of the senior class at home for vacation and at the meeting were Ed Bovill, Creighton Holden, Jack Lamb, Bruce Miller, and Bud Smith.

An evening meeting is being planned for the applicants and other boys interested in Dartmouth, at which our "Life at Dartmouth" films will be shown. There is also talk of the Glee Club coming to Detroit in April if proper arrangements can be made.
