June 14, 15 and 16 are drawing near. Frank Specht and his committee are completing their preparations. There will be plenty of beer on tap in our tent. A picnic and barebecue are scheduled for Saturday. The tax is estimated at $7.00; charge for room in the dormitory is additional. You will receive complete plans and program direct from the committee, and applications for rooms direct from the College. Without solicitation, I have received word from scores of men planning to sign the register in New Hampshire Hall Friday noon or soon after with numerous wives included. The following are only a few of those whose names I have jotted down: Dean Couper, Ken Kurson, Russ Wilson. Randy Stowell, Hal Klein, Sid Krivitsky, Earl Arthurs, Lou Niles, George Cook, Arnold Washton, Ben Rosenburg, Phil Hemphill, Dick Hube, Ralph Seeley, Ralph Specht, Emerson McMullen, Galo Emerson, Fran Chase, Charlie Sewall, Russ Field, Dud Russell, Dave Buxbaum, Russ Erwin, Charlie French, Jack Gilchrist, Sven Karlen, Boyd Rogers, Ken Rule, Chuck Berry.

Carl Fischer, who has been in the Canal Zone with the Navy Air Service, is now in the Caribbean on neutrality patrol for three months. He would like very much to pull a Corrigan the middle of June and seek the more exhilarating climate of Hanover for a few days. He reports that Don Radasch has recently been transferred by United Fruit from the Zone to Barranquilla, Colombia.

From St. Louis comes word of two weddings. Rather slow in reaching us is the report that Jack Shelmire was married last year to Ruby. Jack is a salesman for V. D. Corp. On April 3d of this year

took place the wedding of Boyd Rogers and Ruth Donnell of Webster Groves, Mo. Boyd is a hairpin salesman. Ruth's father is a candidate for Governor.

A recent week-end visitor of the Phil Hemphills in Dayton was Al Tacy, down from Detroit where he does promotion work for Cadillac Did you see the article in the February issue of POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY by Sid Diamond entitled More Light in Your Movies with illustrations by the author? Also note in the April issue of GOLF the article entitled A ChildWonder Grows Up by Dick Lauterbach. ... . Jack Gilchrist was chairman of the committee in charge of the recent dance sponsored by the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland. Dan Swander was among those assisting him.

Cameron Duncan, Texas ranch manager, says there is no particular news, but he wishes to complain about the winter weather the d—n Yankess have let get down his way. John Bell says they got 25 out to a recent Dartmouth Dinner in Houston, but he was the sole representative for our class. He wonders whether it is the blondes or the mosquitoes which keeps us away. Dick Hube dropped in last summer, but Princetonians are the only ones who stay.

.... Sam Rees is associated with one of Omaha's oldest general insurance agencies, about which he is most enthusiastic. He is also enthusiastic about the FHA, under whose auspices he and Margy became home owners last summer. They have an anticipated date with the medical profession which will keep them from Hanover in June, but promise that all three will be on hand for our tenth.

Dud Russell has been doing jury duty for St. Louis County, Minnesota, with skiing for diversion Hube seems to be quite a traveller. Earl Arthurs has got wind of a rumor that he was in Indianapolis recently and failed to call as he used to in Atlanta. He asks that we advise Dick that fatherhood has not lessened Jane's and his desire to see '35ers at every opportunity... ..Chuck Berry is assistant manager of the furniture department, retail division, of Montgomery Ward in Albany. He and Jean have been living in Menando, a suburb of Albany, since last September. Chuck has sent us some information about Carl Funke, who was married last year. The bride was Patty Torree of New York City, and they are the proud parents of a baby boy born early in February Another card from Albany is from Kelly Hamilton, who has been there with the Commercial Credit Corp. since graduation. Kelly will make many of us envious by his report that he has been in Hanover for several basketball games each year, and has not missed a Carnival or Green Key since 1935.

Jim Berkey, for some reason hard for us married men to understand, is glad to report that he is still single with part of leap year behind him. He is in business for himself,—building construction and a sideline of real estate. Has seen Bob Neill, Bob Collins, and Al Conklin skiing, the latter two representing the D. C. C. of N. Y. in the Interclub races at Phoenicia.

.... Speaking of athletics, Bob Roundey called my attention to the '35 activity in Squash. Bob himself has been on the Boston University Club "A" team; Fran Chase on the Newton Y. M. C. A. "A" team; McCarty on the "B" team at Midston House, New York; Chick Harrison on "A" team for New York Downtown A. C., and also playing on the New York team in the Zacket Cup and National Team Matches.

Ken Kurson, who recently moved from Bangor to Boston, is still in the theatre business, having opened an office here. This is another family who are expecting a visit of the stork which may interfere with Reunion. Sid Krivitsky says there is nothing to report from the 20th CenturyFox Film office in Boston. Sid is advertising manager. He cannot believe 5 years have gone by, but promises to be on hand next month Harry Reynolds was in charge of organizing another successful class supper in Boston last month, 30 of us turning out. We enjoyed a couple of surprises. Jim Higgins showed up from the Boston City Hospital, where he has been hiding for several months as an interne. Ed Offutt also happened to be around for a few days. Ed is our great student. He got a Ph.D. at Rice last June, and is now at the University of Rochester working for an M.D We picked up a few bits about men not present. Bill Wilkes is now in the insurance department of New England Power. Fred Depinet, formerly with Graton and Knight, is now with the Worcester Nickel Plate Company.

We neglected to give you the reason for Bobb Chaney's moving from Grand Rapids to Minneapolis. He has a new job with Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn. I suppose from the length of the name it might be a law firm, but unquestionably you all know their field is advertising. Bobb, a former miller, is working on the Cream of Wheat account.

Have quite a batch of cards from New York. Sven Karlen, still a bachelor and living at home, is credit manager for TIME, INC. Pedro Espaillat is with Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer, and right now is waiting for an opening the company's foreign service in South America Mel Rosen is interning at the Guggenheim Dental Clinic, where most of the patients are from 2 to 10 years of age and any one any older would give the boys a heart throb. Mel had with him at Christmas time Morry Heller, who is now finishing up at Boston University Medical School and will spend next year interning at Harlem Hospital Irving Sager, after two years at M. I. T., two years as a design engineer in the radio business, has now turned to real estate and insurance Arnold Washton reports he is an officer in a petroleum outfit, the outlook being good. Jim LeSure returned his card, but the news was no more informative than to confirm his marriage last October.

Emerson McMullen, having passed the New York Bar Exam, has given up the banking business and is now with the District Attorney's office. Al Keenan and Howie Frost both passed the bar exams at the same time. Howie is with the Seaboard Surety Company and Al is in the employ of the Thompson Law Book Co Eddie Reich is New York representative for Landers, Frary & Clark. Bill Feingold, still trying to corner the commodity market, is another expectant father Dero Saunders and Dick Lauterbach are active members of the City Club of New York's Committee on Crime Prevention. Bud Wise wins at ping pong over his insurance prospects, but manages to get the business anyway Fran Bartlett, after a few years in Hawaii, has settled down with his wife and child near Baker Field and is now studying at Columbia. He has had a book on Freud published in England Fred Mebel, with four years at the University of Arkansas behind him, is interning at Coney Island Hospital, where he invites everyone to visit him. Not a business visit, we hope. Another interne is Bud Lippman, at the Atlantic City Hospital after graduating from Jefferson. Bud is debating whether he can handle Reunion and the State Boards the following few days. Ralph Seeley is finishing up at the Hartford Hospital the end of June and starting at once on a two year appointment at the New York Hospital (Cornell Medical Center) in Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat work. Dick Hube turns up again in my correspondence, Ralph reporting that he recently moved to Rutland, Vermont, where he is connected with the Howe Scale Company. . .. .Congratulations to Jim Coppeto, married March 27th to Betty Santovasi. Jim is interning at Waterbury Hospital.

Another '35er who in his own words believes that "no noose is good news" is Fred Kayser, employed by W. T. Grant and at present located in Union City, New Jersey. Fred informs us that "Doc" Cornthwaite is the power behind the throne in various political campaigns around Saratoga

Charlie French reports he is happily married with a two year old daughter and a six months old son. He is a salesman for Oldbury Electro-Chemical working out of New York from Kansas City to Boston.

The organization of this column is poor. Here are more congratulations. To Roy Ruether, married in Baltimore on March 15th to Ruth Gardner Bruder.

The Alumni Fund is now under way, and our quota of the increased objective is approximately $2000. We want Bud Fraser and his assistants to go to Hanover in June having reached the objective for the first time. This means the faithful must carry on with increased gifts being welcomed, but more especially, we need also the support of those who have not contributed in the last four years. Let's cooperate by sending our checks at once.
