WE HAD A VERY PLEASANT BREAKFAST gathering with President Hopkins this morning. His train from the West arrived at 7:45 and there were thirteen of the local alumni at the station to welcome him to Houston. We immediately adjourned to the dining room in the station where arrangement had been made for breakfast for the group. We had an all too short hour visit with the President and hope that upon his next visit to the Southwest we shall have the privilege of entertaining him at a regularly scheduled dinner and meeting of the Dartmouth men of this area.
For many of us it was the first time in years that we had been able to meet with an officer of the administration. In the short time allowed him he very interestingly gave us a first hand picture of the college of today as regards its affairs from football to finance. We hope we can meet with him again soon.
