The knowledge of your kindness and sympathy, as well as the unstinted community tenderness and help from every direction, sustained us in the hour of deep sorrow.
Craven's last years have been those of buoyant happiness as he lived over past days spent with you. So often this past winter he has looked up from his morning newspaper and said, "Could anyone be as happy as we are?"
In place of the hundreds of personal messages which I cannot send, let it be known that your letters and telegrams will be of unspeakable comfort to us, forever. I also speak for my daughters, Catherine Laycock McKennan and Helen Laycock Olmsted.
Gratefully, FLORENCE ANNETTE LAYCOCK.
