Brenner from then on (I hope)... .".The fact that I haven't seen many '39ers lately is a good' sign for it means that not many have been coming through Fort Dix as draftees. Rumor also has it that Warner Kiefaber passed through Norfolk on his way to active duty not so long ago, but hasn't been heard from since. Incidentally, any of you Navy boys who happen to pull into Norfolk be sure and look me up at Patrol Squadron 51, Naval Air Station, Norfolk.

Dick Jackson writes that Bert McMannis has left Scripps Howard for Conde Nast and that Dusty Rhode is thinking of presenting his male Scottie with a female for a birthday gift and then going into the business of raising little ones as a hobby. DOWN THE AISLE
Aside from Bob Winton's last April wedding news comes of the June wedding of Moreau Brown to Miss Patricia Ann Knapp of New York City. Brownie is still a Cost Analyst and from all reports is trying to swing another of those winter assignments in Miami Art Larkin and Miss Peggy Davis of Minneapolis were married on the 17th of September immediately after Art received his commission in the Navy from the Midshipman's School in Chicago. Art is now on active duty with the fleet, but as yet we are not definite as to his assignment.
Your Secretary takes great pleasure in announcing that he finally made the great decision and was married to Miss Marjorie Johnson also of Minneapolis on August 12 th, last. Thank goodness I'm on active duty, for you married guys who were accused of draft dodging by me would really have it on me. Marjorie and I are now seeing the world at Uncle Sam's expense, and although we really can't call any one place our home—it's a great way to spend a wedding trip.
WRITER OF THE MONTH
Our thanks this month goes to Bob Winton whose letter this month is really a gem for news. Bob's letter, incidently, is an example of what I would like to get from all of you fellows—lots of news.
"Jim Kelso holding down a Pratt Whitn ey job in Hartford I see and hear from Al Loberg once in a while—he is now Sales Promotional Mgr. for General Mills around the Fitchburg, Mass., area. Had lunch with Les Chase last week and I found that he has boosted himself to the Managership of the Sun Glass division of American Optical. Bob Van Slambrouck is working for the Free Press in Burlington, Vt., and really loves it. You might be interested to know that he recently married the girl Al Green had up to Commencement in '39 Saw Ken Mac Donald just before he left for Nova Scotia and a bicycle trip with his wife—as you know he'll be back at Harvard Law in the fall. Jim Mathes I understand has been summering in Maine and I might add he has given up the advertising game in favor of farming- he plans to take a couple of years of Agricultural School Pem Pleasants is doing well in Boston for General Foods and his baby is getting to look more like him every day.
"As for myself, I was married last April to Miss Betty Sewall of York Village, Maine. It was nothing strange for Betty to be influenced by Dartmouth for her father was 'Gene' Sewall of 'O4 fame. We both took in Commencement last June and were disappointed over the lack of '39ers present, however, we did manage to see Walt Avery walking around town and we were almost run down by Dune Farr while trying to cross the street to the Inn. Betty and I are now living in Wakefield, Mass., while I'm busy trying to make a name for myself with the Telephone Company—all '39ers are more than welcome to visit us any time."
THE CLEARING HOUSE
A thousand thanks for your grand response to my letter—it is a great help to have so much news at present and on hand and I hope I can show you my appreciation by an improved column. Fall means get-togethers and I would very much appreciate hearing from any of you fellows who would be interested in organizing gatherings in New York, Boston, Chicago and any other cities with a goodly number of 'ggers. A tentative date of November 15th (Cornell game) has been set—let's hear from some of you civic minded guys. Also, how about some pictures for the column.
