GREETINGS TWOTERS:

Reunion plans for next June are coming along apace, but Carter Hoyt tells me that publication of the full roster of Committee Chairmen will have to be postponed until next month's issue. We had hoped to have the story for you this month, but sit tight for big announcements in the December issue.

Quite a few tidbits of information have found their way to my desk during the past month, though I must confess that the postcards mailed to the first 100 men (alphabetically arranged) in the class provided a return of only 12 answers. Come on, '22, you can do better than that! Don't hide your lights under the w.k. bushel baskets!

Frank Horan has recently returned from Nashville, Tenn., where he was invited to speak to a group of various State officials who run the Unemployment Insurance System. Sterry Waterman was on deck as the Unemployment Insurance Commissioner for the State of Vermont, and being one of the veterans of the conference was influential in the meeting. Sterry is also the Vermont representative of the Commissioners on Uniform State Laws.

Ed Rowe, formerly of Albany, New York, and a Montgomery Warder, has recently moved to Portland, Maine, and become connected with W. T. Grant Company. I'd like to hear from you, Ed, regarding your change and news about yourself, your family, and new home.

Don Griffin is at present the Regimental Surgeon of the 71st Infantry Rifle, with the rank of Major, now stationed at Fort Dix, N. J.

Haskell Cohn's youngsters spent most of the summer in camp in Fryeburg, Me., and Harriet and Haskell vacationed at Lake Sunapee, toured the White Mountains, and ended up with their usual visit to Hanover.

Bill Bullen has sent me a clipping from a Boston paper that sings the praises of Len Morrisey Jr., who gives promise of becoming an outstanding end for Newton (Mass.) High School football team this fall. I'll bet Mom and Pop are proud!

The class will be very sorry to learn of the death in May of Lester Sherburne. Larry passed away in New York and funeral services were held at Tyngsboro, Mass. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family.

Parker Meade, long time real estate broker and well-known Clevelandite has recently moved to San Diego, Cal. Our best wishes to you, Parker, in this move, and I hope you will drop me a line when you get settled.

The marriage of Dick Willis to Mary L. Bucher took place August 23rd at the home of the bride's mother in Columbia, Pa. Our hearty congratulations to you both. Mrs. Willis is now more closely bound to Dartmouth than ever as her brother is Bill Bucher—'32, Bethlehem Steel operative in Baltimore. After a wedding trip their home is to be at 801 North River Road, Manchester, N. H.

Apparently Jim Moody, way out in Encino, Cal., is working on something special and hopes to have some word for your Secretary in the near future. Good luck, Jim, and let me hear from you soon.

Cliff Watson advises of his new address in Charlotte, N. C., 901 Mt. Vernon Ave., and Post Office Box 1338. Cliff is looking forward to the Dartmouth-Georgia game at Athens on November 22, and reports that he will be at the Georgian Hotel in Athens the night before and wants any of the boys that may be coming down for the game to get in touch with him there.

The following men have already committed themselves to return to Reunion next June:

Al Curtis, Charlie Earle, Gray Bates, U. Auger, Norm Crane, Syl Bingham, Hal Green, Hal Clark.

This is the first bunch that of their own volition have written your Secretary that they certainly will return to Hanover. Of course, there are many more that have put the dates in June on their must list, and I hope that you will drop me a line so that Carter Hoyt may have a fine nucleus to work with. The program for the week-end is going to be one that will be greatly enjoyed by everyone in attendance, wives and children included, so don't forget the dates and plan on it.

Here is a note from Carter Hoyt:— The great TWENTIETH REUNION isonly seven months away, so start makingyour plans now to attend. That week-endwill be upon us before we know it. As previously reported by Andy in the last issue, theReunion week-end of last June was a greatsuccess. Imagine, if you can, walking intothe Inn Coffee Shop during a Reunionweek-end and gelling a seat and yourbreakfast without waiting an hour or so. Ithappened last June! Several Twoters werescouting around last summer to pick up thebest ideas of those classes who were holdingreunions so that our own party next yearwould be a knock-out. The plans and arrangements are being worked out andshould be in shape for announcement inthe next issue.

Charlie Earle has offered to handle thepublicity and is looking for ideas so getyour thinking caps on and drop him a notec/o Burroughs Clearing House at 219Fourth Ave., New York City. When you getthe questionnaire, please cooperate by answering and mailing it at once so that wewill have your thoughts on what you wouldlike to do, if you plan to bring your family, etc.

Hanover Holiday is being enjoyed bymore and more alumni each year. The college is planning an even better program fornext June. You know this comes during thefull week of the Reunion program, andwhy not plan to take it all or part of it andthen be on hand all ready for the Reunionfestivities which will start on Friday, the19th of June.

Remember the TWENTIETH. Thinkabout it! Plan on it! Attend it!

Congratulations to the John N. Carletons on the birth of a daughter, Friday, September 5th. Gray Bates is active in the Air Raid Precaution

service (A.R.P.), in Auburndale, Mass.,.as Air Warden for that village.

U. Auger reports from New Bedford that his youngsters are in grades 1, 2, and 3 and he has to remind 'em what a good boy he was to make them behave.

A note from Ed Cramton speaks of his pleasant summer at St. Johnsbury, Vt.

Congratulations to Vivian and Sylvester Bingham on the birth of a daughter—Vivian Jr.—born March 8th of this year.

A note on Roger Eastman's activities: Roger M. Eastman, district manager of the N. Y. Telephone Co. has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Twenty-third Street Ass'n Inc.
