PRESIDENT HOPKINS WILL be the principal guest and speaker at the annual fall meeting of the Alumni Council at the Dartmouth College Club, New York, Friday, November 7. Council President Sigurd S. Larmon '14 will call the meetings to order at 9:30 A.M. and they will continue throughout the day, with luncheon at 12:45.
The program will include reports by the chairmen o£ the following committees: Nominations by Warde Wilkins 'l3; Vocational Committee by J. William Embree Jr. '21; Admissions and Schools by John E. Foster '23; Alumni Projects by Francis L. Childs '06; Alumni Fund by Harvey P. Hood II '18; Class Gifts to the College by Edward E. Martin '19; Class Organization by Sherman Baldwin '23; Parents Committee by William R. Abbott Jr. '27. Carl F. Woods '04 will speak on Athletics.
There will be a reception and supper in honor of the Alumni Council at the close of the meetings at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Basil O'Connor '12.
ANNIVERSARY GIFT: of the Class of 17917 to President Hopkins. Three Hanover members of the class, Archie B. Gile, Harold J.Tobin, and Charles L. Stone, surprised the president October 6 at 10:15 just 25 years from the date and time of his inauguration, whenmembers of the class were seniors in college.
