To PRODUCE a coherent progress report on Intramural Athletics one week before final exams is similar to the old dilemma of the egg and the hen. At present we are engaged in the running-off of basketball, hockey, and bridge. In none are we ready to state or even predict accurately the outcome or relative statistical standings.

Hockey has had about one half of it's games scheduled and most have been played off, in spite of coming exams and a potential flu epidemic. As a spectator, I might state that Delta Upsilon, Psi Upsilon, Phi Gamma Delta, and South Mass are teams with fine technique and fiery spirit. They are also undefeated.

College Hall, North Topliff, Beta Theta Pi, and Psi Upsilon have the most brilliant quintets. Most of these teams have won three games each, which is quite impressive, but even the trends are not open to speculation.

Bridge has completed two of its four tournaments. Results will appear in the next issue. This has been included in the non-athletic competition this year, along with the snow sculpture, fraternity sings, plays, and debate. A separate cup will be awarded by the COSO in cooperation with this department. It is hoped that this will stimulate greater participation and affect the quality.
