Before this issue reaches ninety-one men, plans now in the making for the Fiftieth will have been completed by the Executive Committee and the secretary hopes will be in the hands of the living members of the Class and also in the hands of some member of the families of deceased members.

It has been reported that O'Brien with his honorary degree from Colby attended a recent dinner of Colby College in Washington.

A sketch of Marshall O. Edson who passed away on March go will be in the Necrology of the May issue. This sketch was largely made up in a letter from Edson under date of March 7.

In "Post marked Vermont & California 1862-1864" just published occurs on page 156 in a personal letter: "Ellen Manley has a beau. He is Hiram Smith and he works for the Sheldon Marble Company in West Rutland." A footnote tells they became the parents of the late Governor Charles Manley Smith of Vermont.
