Under date of April 6, our Class President, Edward T. S. Lord, tells of his well earned retirement as senior vice-president of Charles Scribner's Sons. He was with these important publishers for 54 years, except for two years when in Boston as president of the Lothrop Publishing Company.

He writes the following from 78 Lincoln Street, Glen Ridge, New Jersey:

"Now I am on my own and free to go and come as I wish. Agnes, my wife, and I keep this for the present as our settled address over a period or forty-three years, but intend to be much in New England with our children and grandchildren. Recently the Secretary and his wife had a delightful call at the home of Edward Sargent in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, where at present Mrs. Herbert Eugene Sargent is with the delightful little family of her son. Edward has recently become a life insurance agent with the same Company your Secretary has represented for nearly 53 years.
