IN APRIL AT A MEETING of officers of the State Association and of the seven Connecticut Clubs the following were nominated to be officers of the State Association for the ensuing year: president, Phil Pelletier '15, New Britain, first vice president, Bob Scott '17, New Haven, second vice president, from Waterbury but not yet designated, secretary-treasurer, Mansfield D. Sprague '33, Bridgeport.

Presumably these, and the as yet unidentified candidate, were elected at the annual State Banquet held at the Woodway Country Club in Stamford on May 15. Nomination for a State Dartmouth office is like being a democratic nominee in Alabama—it is tantamount to election.

I am sorry that this column is unable to report fully the above mentioned meeting. However, with complete confidence based on the experience of thirteen previous State Banquets, I will say without qualification that between 170 and 200 alumni, fathers and guests enjoyed conviviality, a delicious meal, music, laughter and the speeches of Professor McDaniel, Tuss McLaughry and Stubby Pearson and went home with the welkin still ringing for Dartmouth and a Wah-Hoo-Wah for Everett Robie 'l7 and the alumni of the Western Association of Connecticut, who staged this party.
