Appointment to managerships marked the end of heeling for many '23 men: Aegis managers, Baker and Friend; Bema managers, Tifft, Friedman, Williams Non-athletic managers: Prom, Wallace; Musical clubs, Clough; Players, Wilkinson; Band, Norstrand; Publicity, Gauss.

Larry Brown was elected captain of track—like the election of Millar to the basketball captaincy—an honor usually reserved for seniors.

Wet Down was held on June 4th and included pink lemonade in the keg and the introduction of a push ball for the Keg Rush. 1923, of course, won easily. Around the bonfire where 1924 freshman hats burned, we sang the last hum of the year— and discarded our sophomore mantles. .... Exams began June 6th; Commencement came on the 20th.
