Harry and Mrs. Marshall have at length reached this country. Driven out of Burma on Jan. 29, leaving nearly all their possessions behind them, they reached India where they remained for a time at the pleasant hill station of Ootacamund. On May 22, they embarked for the United States on a ship bringing 1000 passengers, of whom 475 were missionaries and their families. After a dangerous and uncomfortably crowded voyage of some forty days they reached New York in July. For a time they visited their son, Edward, at his home at Oradel, N. J. Mrs. Marshall had contracted sprue, a tropical disease, and requires a considerable period of medical treatment and rest. Harry, who reports himself as well, is the author of an article in the Baptist Watchman-Examiner of July 30, entitled "Will the House Stand?" in which he recounts some of his recent experiences. His permanent address is The American Baptist Foreign Missionary Society, 152 Madison Avenue, New York.

After an absence in Boston for five years, Dr. Arthur S. Wallace has resumed the medical practice in Nashua which he had previously carried on for some 35 years. The departure of so many doctors for war service has made particularly timely his reentry into his old field. His address in Nashua is 259 Main Street.

Mr. and Mrs. William Cooper announce the marriage on June 6, at Wollaston, Mass., of their daughter, Laurin, to Robert A. Balkam, son of the late Gilbert Balkam.

Mr. and Mrs. John Redington, finding commuting too troublesome in these days of transportation difficulties, have become "city fellers" for a time, changing their home address from Wilton, Conn., to Hendrick House, 245 East 37th Street, New York.

Announcement has been made of the birth of a son at Scarsdale, N. Y., on May 30 to Mr. and Mrs. George E. Hall, thus making Bobby Brooks for the third time a grandfather.
