TWIN CITIES

WHITNEY EASTMAN '10, 1004 Summit Ave., Mpls. was host to Alumni, fathers, prospects, and the Dartmouth Hockey Team at a holiday open house held on the afternoon of January 3rd. Upwards of one hundred were present to enjoy Easty's hospitality, and to pay tribute to a plucky hockey team which had taken one game from the University of Minnesota on January and and proceeded to take another game the next night. North Dakota, South Dakota, and all sections of Minnesota were represented at the open house. A buffet supper was served and two Dartmouth Movies were shown.

was a pleasure to see Luther Oakes '99 present. He has been in distant parts all fall. Henry Thrall 'O6 was with us having just returned from an extended trip to Alaska (extended because he was on the high seas when the U. S. declared war against Japan). Dr. Arthur Olson '30 of Rochester made the trip. John Faegre '33 had a likely looking group of prospects on hand, among them being a nephew of Dick Morin '24 of Albert Lea, Minn., and his dad, also a younger brother of Jim and George McClintock. The prize for a "long hop" goes to Bill Machoff '44 and his dad who came down from Dickinson, N. D.

ROCHESTER, MINN.

Bill Harwick '35 reports a good turnout at the open house held at the University Club, Kahler Hotel, on January 3rd. Some forty Alumni and guests were present.
