ON THE EVENING of Thursday, June 12, Lyle McKown '25, newly elected president of the Dartmouth College Alumni Association of the Northwest held a meeting of the officers and executives at his home at 4612 Moorland Avenue, Minneapolis. The purpose of the meeting was to make plans for the annual picnic.
Edward Lynch '23, Minneapolis, and Stephen Osborn '27, St. Paul, were appointed co-chairmen of the picnic. The date of Tuesday, June 24, was selected and the offer of the farm of Henry Thrall '06, as a picnic spot, was accepted.
Those attending the meeting at Lyle's house were Bob Stone '35, Wood Foster '33, Ed Lynch '33, Steve Osborn '27, Carl Almquist '35, Whitney Eastman '10, John Faegre '33, Henry Atwood '13, Paul Loudon '14, Harry Tinker '25, George Porter '3O and Ben Hardman '31.
Some of the out-of-town men who were able to come in were "En" Ward 'l7, Waseca; Bob McDonald '33, and Derek Quackenbush '33, LeSueur; Don Lymon '25, Excelsior; Louis Gluek '25, Deephaven and Paul Hommeyer '25, Maplewood.
