THE HOLIDAY SMOKER was held December 31 at the home of Henry Thrall, with alumni, undergraduates and prospective students there in large quantities. It was pleasant to renew old acquaintances and mingle with the "younger generation."
Official news has recently been received from the College that the coming of the Glee Club and the Barbary Coast Orchestra next spring is definitely on the books. It will be on April 9 and the place is the Lyceum Theatre on 11th Street, Minneapolis. Save this date and watch for further notice—April 9.
You have probably seen stories in the papers about the marriage of Miss Florence Charles of St. Paul to John B. Faegre Jr. That's our John, you know, Chairman of Freshman admissions. John, with Luther Oakes, reports 30 applicants for next year's freshman class. The following towns are represented: Rochester, Duluth, Fargo, N. D., Sioux Falls, S. D., Pipestone, Minn., Fergus Falls, Hopkins, St. Paul and, Minneapolis.
Some fifteen new arrivals to the Northwest have been added to our roster during the past year. Come and get acquainted either at Minneapolis or St. Paul. Yes, sir, St. Paul has started a semi-monthly luncheon club. It is two weeks old, or maybe older by the time this is published. Here's the schedule for the Twin Cities: St. Paul, Alverdes Restaurant, 379 St. Peter, 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 12:15; Minneapolis, Donaldson's Egyptian Room Ist and 3rd Thursday of each month, 12:15.
Art Dunning, Bob Gibson, S. and E. B. Osborn, Ted Gaver, Bruce Sanborn, Dick Sanders, Bob Stone, Wood Foster, and Lyman Wakefield constitute the St. Paul committee which is getting the semimonthly luncheon under way.
