THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE of the Long Island Club and their wives had a pleasant informal dinner at the Hempstead Golf Club on March 6, 1942. The idea of having the ladies get acquainted with each other worked out very nicely. Ed Warnke '18 was in charge of the arrangements.

After the dinner Rudy Pruess '27 our 1942 club president presented to Jigger Pender '97, our first president, and to Harry Collins '17, our second president, beautifully handmade tomahawks with suitable inscriptions. Cliff Hart '21 designed the tomahawks and Art Kelleher '27 made them. They're worth a copyright.

After these presentations Mrs. Cliff Hart did a swell job at the piano for group singing. Following are those who were present: Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pender '97, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Coburn '16, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Collins '17, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Warnke '18, Mr. and Mrs. H. Lincoln Miller 'si, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Hart 'si, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Suttmeier '22, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Pruess '27, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Bostwick '27, Mr. and Mrs. John Shaw '27, Mr. and Mrs. Art Kelleher '27, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Coulson Sr. H'18, Mr. Tracy Higgins '21.

Bill Coulson, father of Bill Jr. '40 and Jack '39, announces that Jack has been commissioned in the Navy with address at Carol Apt., Key West, Fla., and that Bill Jr. is somewhere on the Pacific Coast, now an Air Cadet.

Bill Thomas '38 is also an Air Cadet at Dorr Field, Arcadia, Fla., Squadron "C" 83-R-15.

Hugh McLaren Jr. '39, is an engineer located outside the U. S. at one of our bases.

The executive committee is anxious to have a complete mailing list of Long Island men interested in the Dartmouth Club of Long Island. Any Dartmouth man on Long Island is eligible for membership. Any D man who feels that he has been overlooked is invited to drop a post card with his name and address to the secretary so that he may be notified of future events.
