A Caution Respecting the Measurement ofEmpathic Ability, by Professors A. H. Hastorf and I. E. Bender, has been reprinted from the April issue of The Journal of Abnormaland Social Psychology.

A new edition of Land, of the Polish People by Prof. Eric P. Kelley '06, is being brought out by Lippincott's. The new edition is practically a new book because of the changes which have appeared in Poland since the first edition came out in 1943. The old edition ran into six printings and was used in remedial reading courses in high schools. The final chapter of the new edition How Poland Savedthe World describes the part Poland played in forcing Hitler to change his plans for the conquest of Europe, delaying as well the manufacture of his "secret" weapons, and telling of the betrayal of Poland at Teheran and Yalta.
