In his "Message from Elysium" the late class secretary, Albert Ignatius Dickerson, implied that a dignified account of the rump meeting of the Executive Committee of the class of 1930 would be rendered in these notes. Deponent states that said meeting was a truly dignified assembly, and that all items which were properly presented before said august body were treated with due ceremony and proper decorum, and further, that any additional comments at this late date would be so much persiflage. The minutes of the meeting, as rendered from Elysium, are, therefore, hereby approved.
It is difficult, if not impossible to keep up with the growing list of Thirtymen in the service. Elsewhere in this issue of the MAGAZINE is a directory of Dartmouth men in the service, or full-time government jobs, where all our boys will be found. Alex McFarland published a list in one of his Fund "Thirtyteers," admittedly incomplete, and we are sure that the additions recorded here will still fall short of the complete roster. With your cooperation, however, ail effort will be made to keep up to date.
Bill Brown was commissioned a Lieutenant (j.g.) and reported for active duty July 13th at the Naval Training School in South Boston. Former Sergeant Rusty Morrill, U. S. A., is now Lieutenant (j.g.) Morrill, U.S.N.R., and is presently stationed in New York City. Charlie Street is also in the Navy and by the time you read this will be a Petty Officer engaged in inshore patrol duties. Lieutenant (s.g.) Al McGrath completed his A.V.-S. training at Quonset, R. 1., in June, and an unconfirmed report has come in that Pat O'Brien is in the A.V.-S. group. No, not everybody is in the Navy, as Jesse Lichter, at last reports, is stationed at Fort McLellan. Corporal Ellis Gilbert was at Fort Sam Houston, and Lieutenant Art Hayes is with the Signal Corps in Washington, D. C.

Charlie Raymond Jr. arrived April 24th, in plenty of time to allow his daddy to get to Hanover to be elected 1930's new class treasurer. We'll have at least two more birth announcements around November, but Lee Chilcote Jr.'s birth on May 5th completes the list for the time being.
