As a prelude to reunion, it was pleasant to be in Hanover for the class officers' meeting in May. Fred Scribner, Jack Rich, Bud French, and Ed Brazil were there, and 1930 received an honorable mention in the contest for the Class of the Year award. Wayne French '59 is following in Bud's footsteps, and is now serving as secretary of his class.
Buck Steers has retired from Needham, Harper & Steers after 40 years in the advertising business. He had been chairman of that firm as well as chairman of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and of the National Better Business Bureau. Certain new addresses suggest retirement and without confirmation of his status we note that John Marsh formerly of Tripoli, Libya is now at 1491 N. E. 57th Place in Fort Lauderdale. Likewise Len Schmitz, whose new address is 19 Lakeside Trail, Stuart, Fla.
Harry Dunning recently won the 1970 Prominent Citizen Award of the Association of Newspaper Classified Advertising Managers.
