Gus Pratt writes this month to tell of the contingent of '44's at Parris Island. They are split up among three platoons, but are still pretty much together. Gus lists, among the group, Joe Dryer, Penn Frost, Al Barrett, Wes Shell, Jake Dahl, Brad Grinnell, Don Harries, Ted Brush, Warren Sullivan, Carl Eldridge, Fred Campbell, Bob Tompa, Bill Mackoff, and Bill Harrison. .... Jim Rudnick has just completed his boot training at P. I Tom Close was back here briefly after having taken part in landing operations in the invasion of Sicily Dick Morse is now with the OSS in Washington. .... Wiley Hitchcock was at C. C. N. Y. for some time, awaiting transfer to some other college to study languages.

Johnny Wheeler pens that he, Joe Buckley, and Bud Coith are all Naval students at N. Y. Medical College and that they have an apartment and a telephone number there in the city. Jake Jacoby is now somewhere in the British Isles. Don Oakes is studying at Union Theological Seminary. Charley Schumacher is at Pre-flight at Santa Ana, Calif.

I bumped into Phil Brown in the North Station the other day. He's now a lieutenant in the Coast Artillery, stationed at Camp Edwards, and planning to be married shortly. Steve Holmes must have set some sort of a record in getting his ensign's commission in forty-seven days. He was in town for the Coast Guard game. Kim Urion is now an ensign also. Fran Murphy is teaching aviation at Towle High School, Newport, N. H Burt Bickford wrote late in September that he was expecting to be shipped overseas shortly.

There's a big '44 group at the V-7 School at Northwestern .... Bob Hirshfield, Jim Donnelly, Dave Mills, Jim Towsen, Teeny Riggs, Howie Pennington, Junius Hoffman, Bill Paine, Paul Cray, Chuck Richardson, Johnny Roberts, Don May, Marsh Clark, Dan Donahue, Cliff Baum, and Bill Davies. Report has it that they're living at the Tower Club Ed Rehurek is at the Naval Supply School at Harvard

Whitey Vosler is at R. P. I The V-sers who were at Williams at the last writing have since been split into two groups and sent to prelim, flight training at either nearby Kimball Union or Pittsfield, Me. Some of the fellows at K.. U. A. are: Tommy Douglas, Fritz Hier, Rog Arnold, and Rog Chapin. Buzz Beatie, Hardie Caldwell, and Whitey Myers are at Pittsfield

Whit Wells is getting his primary flight training at Maxwell Field Bill Hirons is in the Air Corps, stationed at Cuero, Texas. Others in Texas are Norm Simpson at No. Camp Hood, Bob O'Keefe, and Ernie Rice at Camp Wolters.

Flowers" department this month. Bud Park was married at Boca Raton, Fla., to Dorcas Diane Davis of Springfield, Mass., and Wellesley.
