Our class treasurer, Henry Austin, apparently has faith that summer will soon reach New England, for he has changed his mailing address from St. Petersburg, Florida to Warner, N. H.—here's hoping that his confidence in our weather will be justified, for he describes Florida weather as "just about perfect." He makes the inquiry whether a garden which produces more weeds than vegetables can properly be called a "victory garden." He writes that the usual dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Florida was omitted on account of transportation difficulties and war absentees. He adds the interesting information that the tourist registration at St. Petersburg for the season just closed was 20,000 as against 44,000 for 1942 and 65,000 for 1941. Austin's prowess in lawn bowling has been again demonstrated this season when he missed the championship of the St. Petersburg Lawn Bowling Club by an excitingly narrow margin.

Lorrain Weeks, our class champion pedestrian (4 miles per day), regrets that so few notes from members of our class appear in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. The secretary heartily joins him in this regret and wonders if a new secretary would not effect the desired remedy and offers this suggestion as a "round robin" to his classmates.
