Our family seems to be growing. Now comes the arrival of Alexander Calder III, as of September something or other. Capt. Charlie Wiggin, the boy from Guam, Guadal- canal and Wake, married into the Women's Army Corps. She's Lt. Helen Thorn Case, Plainfield, N. J., Elmira College '39, and now personnel officer in the Air Service Command at Kelly Field. Lt. George Nichols and Frances Jefferson, Larchmont, N. Y., are engaged. George is assigned to a troop transport on Atlantic duty. Engaged too are ,Lt. John Nelson and Jean Pinckney, Kelseyville, Calif. John's at Fort Mason, in the Transportation Corps.
Capt. George Dana is with the Medical Bn. overseas, Charles Ervin an engineer for General Motors Diesel in Detroit, and Capt. Barron Mclntire with the Station Hospital overseas. Add to the medics Lt. Charles Mock with the General Hospital, also overseas. Bill Powers is with the Volunteer Ordnance Works in Chattanooga. Lloyd Williams is supervisor of some sort of training with TWA Airlines. Sid Francis is in Taunton, Mass., with General Electric. Though some of this may be repetitious, latest service promotions are Major Rob Kelly, Major Don Boyle, Capt. Ed Grace, Capt. Bob Frese, Capt. Ben Lane, Capt. Dick Gilbert, Capt. Roy Block, Capt. Russ Spang, Capt. Sam Wakefield, Capt. Fred Howard, Capt. Sheriff Gordon, Capt. Chuck Brown, First Lieutenant John Emerson, Lt. (sg) Roge Trump; and among the jg's are Lou Van Dike, Bob Eckel, Ed Grilling, Chuck Oliver, Elmer Leyrer, Chuck Curtiss, Val Cravens and Fred Sibley.
