ALUMNI IN ATLANTA started off the 1944-45 season with an out-of-doors supper at your secretary's house on Saturday evening, September 16. Members' wives and dates were invited and the delicious picnic supper the ladies served will be long remembered. Paul White's uncanny accuracy at the game of darts cost some of us a pretty penny before conceding him the championship. Our guest, Jim Lillis, Fordham '31, look all the loose change in sight at the poker table while Mrs. Paul White was declared gin rummy champ. Some of the more energetic played badminton while others enjoyed a good old-fashioned bull session. Everyone had a swell time and it was plain that what our group lacks in size is more than made up in its enthusiasm.
Our October date at Harris Dawson's house has been set ahead to Friday, October 20, the time 8 P.M. Any alumni who need transportation can call the secretary and we will do
the necessary. On Dartmouth Night, Friday, November 10, we will get together at Alva Wilson's house.
We have a date with the Paul White's at their house on Friday evening December 15. Wives and dates are invited, so clear this date now as the first party on your preChristmas schedule.
With so many transfers these days, it's al-most impossible to keep an up-to-date mailing list, so any alumni in or nearby Atlanta who fail to get one of our mailed notices are urged to consider this their invitation to get with us. Call me at HEMlock 5285 or Alva Wilson '25 at WAlnut 0440 for more details.
