IN RESPONSE TO an invitation from Harris P. Dawson '35 the alumni in the vicinity of Atlanta gathered at Dawson's house for our April get-together. An excellent turnout thoroughly enjoyed our host's hospitality and a swell time was had by all.

We were very happy to welcome three newcomers to Atlanta—all officers of Uncle Sam's Navy. Lieutenant Jack McGuire '44 and Lieutenant J. P. Riley '44; both are stationed at the U. S. Naval Air Station here. Lieutenant Wilbur W. Templin Jr. '32 is not exactly a newcomer to Atlanta but we have just recently been in touch with him and hope that he and his family will become permanent residents here. Everyone was most interested in the news that Jack McGuire is to marry one of Atlanta's most beautiful belles this month who, incidentally, is a neighbor of Dawson's.

Present at this meeting were LeBoy Adams '25, Harris Dawson '35, A. H. Dessau '13, W. H. Marsh Jr. '31, Jack McGuire '44, Bob Offenbach '34, J. P. Riley '44, Al Starrett '29, Wilbur W. Templin Jr. '32 and Alva S. Wilson '25.

Harris Dawson '35 who is Regional Director of the U. S. Department of Labor Statistics was the unanimous choice of our group to head up the Dartmouth Vocational Plan organization for this section. This endeavour was discussed with considerable interest and received the hearty endorsement of those present.

Some sunny Saturday afternoon in June when the weather is right we plan to congregate at Bill Marsh's place on Powers Ferry Road for some badminton, horseshoe pitching and what have you. Any and all alumni in this vicinity are cordially invited to phone the secretary about transportation and to join us if you can.

These seem to be appropriate times to break precedents or establish new ones—several of our members have proposed that instead of suspending club activities for the summer, we continue to get together at least once a month right through the summer, which suggestion has been well received by all members.
