TWELVE UNDERGRADUATES and pre-freshmen were guests of the alumni at a luncheon Saturday noon February 26. This yearly gett ogether is ordinarily held at Christmas time, changed currently to conform with the college schedule.
Dick Gilman '45 as student chairman introduced Don McAllister '46 and Bob Nelson '47 who reported respectively on the Navy V-12 program and the civilian college. Gilman himself reviewed the sports activities of the Big Green during the past year, and gave a preview o£ some of the athletic events to come. From his remarks it is obvious that Dartmouth teams are enjoying outstanding success.
Among those introduced at the gathering were Major Melvin Partridge '27 and Lieutenant Edward G. Acker '41, both now connected with the North Atlantic Wing of the Air Transport Command here in Manchester. Bob Funkhouser '27, brought greetings from Hanover and spoke of the fine quality of leadership now guiding the College through these difficult years.
Bob Booth '22 presided in the absence of Dr. Rocky Flanders '14, president of the association, and Lew Ross '23 accompanied on the piano to appropriate singing.
