The secretary regrets his error, in reporting in the last notes, news received from Classmate Cushman, a trustee of the estate of Charles Carpenter. Quoting from his letter:—
"She (Mrs. Carpenter) writes that there is nothing of interest to say for her, except she had two grandsons in the war, one killed in the performance of his duty in this country, and one who is still fighting the Japs in the Pacific ocean."
The whole class will sympathing with Mrs. Carpenter in her bereavement.
Classmate Howland, at the 94th annual meeting of the National Life Insurance Company, was chosen a director of the corporation for a term of four years.
Classmate John Dana Bell, in a recent letter, reports Classmate Morse, at Hoquima, Wash., is apparently failing in health. We hope to have news of him from headquarters next month. Dr. Sanborn, in a recent letter reports that the plants of the Sanborn Company (manufacturers of hospital apparatus and supplies) is working at capacity for the Government. "Sonny" Gage, White and the secretary are remaining in Florida much later than usual, until the middle of May. "Our Dan" as class agent, has issued his annual appeal for the Tucker Memorial Fund. He has set a high mark, and we must all pitch in and help him. Eighty-Seven has never fallen behind. We have had to give up our search for the "Class Baby." Perhaps someone can help us.
Secretary and Treasurer Bath, N. H.
