THE RHODE ISLAND Dartmouth Alumni Association held its Annual Meeting at Wannamoisett Country Club, Rumford, R. I. on April 25. Seventy-five members from Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts welcomed Coach Earl Brown, heard his interesting review and analysis of the recent football and basketball seasons, saw the films of the Ohio State game—and gave this modest young man a unanimous and enthusiastic vote of approval covering his outstanding accomplishments.
Dr. Arthur H. Ruggles, trustee, read a special message from President Hopkins and also an up-to-date report from A1 Dickerson covering the splendid progress of the Alumni Fund. Dr. Hopkins paid high tribute to the cooperation enjoyed by the college with the Naval and Marine courses conducted there and assured the maintenance of Dartmouth's high educational standards under difficult prevailing conditions. He also reported that a faculty committee is hard at work on problems of Dartmouth's educational policies for the postwar years.
