Greetings Twoters hope you all had a fine summer vacation and all that, and are now settling down to another year of work.

I am sure that each of us were terribly surprised to read of Prexy's resignation, to take effect November l. He is held in the greatest affection by us all—and we wish him well as he retires to well earned leisure. Let's give a Wah Hoo Wah for Prexy. John Sloan Dickey '29, our new President, and we pledge him our loyal support.

No dope sheets are to be mailed this fall, instead you will probably be assailed by cards and letters from your secretary. And I hope you'll cooperate with a return of news. As I have said to you every fall, this column depends upon your willingness to write me about yourself, or other Twoters. I hope that more of you will develop into better correspondents.

A case in point, a card was sent to Carl Davis, learning of a change of address, and Carl comes back with a good letter. Excerpts, " I'm with Russell W. Allen Cos., Cleveland, a part of the Grey Advertising Agency of New York, having returned after a two-year sojourn with Joseph Home Cos., a department store in Pittsburgh. We're doing some unique work for several of the national advertisers. I have charge of the field work with offices at 1427 Williamson Bldg., Cleveland. Just moved May 1 and would be glad to know of any Twoters in this neighborhood." Carl and his wife Margaret, Lisa 8, and Susie 5, all live at 2721 West Scarborough Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Carl, Willard G. (Jib) Sawyer lives at 19616 Shelburne Road; office, John C. Virden Cos., Cleveland. Wally (W. W.) Mounttastle is at the Hotel Allerton.

Judge Tony Hanlon sent along a clipping not so long ago concerning George Brooks, who has resigned as associate professor of English at Rhode Island State College after eleven years. As of September 12, George and his family have moved to 72 Lawrence Ave., North Adams, Mass., as he will head the department of English at North Adams State Teachers College. I received a copy of a superb V-E Day address given by George at the Rhode Island institution on May 8.

It is my sad duty to tell you of the death of Bill Streng on July 22. A sudden heart attack took him away. We all extend our sympathy to his wife, Marian, and sons George Jr. and Jim. Further details are quoted in another section of this issue.

Len Morrissey's boy, Len Jr. USNR has become engaged to Winifred White of East Aurora, N. Y. ,

Harry Wellman, my old Pittsburgh pal, has recently received a well deserved promotion. He has been named district traffic superintendent for the northern district, Pittsburgh, by the Bell Telephone Cos. of Pennsylvania. Congratulations!

Cliff Watson has left the W.P.B. and returned to his old stamping ground Charlotte, N. C. The box number—l33B—doesn't tell me nothin', so how about a letter, Cliff, with the dope.

Larry Snow, a sojourner in Mexico for many years, reports a new address—Mexican Candelaria Cos., S. A. Contra Estaca, Sinalva, Mexico. Larry's still a mining engineer.

Jere Robinson chimes in from Los Angeles where he is territory manager for Kelly Spring field tires at 817 E. Gage Ave. Home is 4591 Pomona Ave., La Mesa, Calif.

Of the two hundred and twenty-three freshmen matriculated in the class of 1949, these are sons of Twoters: Herbert, son of AL Crampton; Loomis, son of John Dana; George, son of Ralph Hinners; Leland, son of John Fancher; Carter Jr., son of Carter Hoyt; Raymond, son of Ray Milleman.

Well, gang, so much for now. I'd sure like it if a bunch of you would write me pronto. See you next month.

Secretary, 1837 Arlington St., Bethlehem, Pa.

Treasurer, 143 East Ave., Norwalk, Conn.
