The College is endeavoring to make arrangements for all the classes that can, to "reune" at Hanover in the spring of '46. A meeting has just been held in Boston of the secretaries and reunion chairmen to give them the details for such a reunion. They are providing July sth and 6th for the reunion for the following classes: '08, '09, '10, '33, '34, '35 and '36. The class of 1911 is planning their reunion at the Mountainview Hotel, Whitefield, N. H. They figure if these classes could "reune" for these two days there would be a group of 1192 people. I told them at the meeting that I did. not believe our class would want to have another Reunion, inasmuch as we had a rather large gathering in June 1944, at which we transacted such business as we had to do. How- ever, I would like to have the opinion of the class regarding this. We have talked it over in Boston and my statement was the result of all those interviewed here. If there are any of the class who wish to have a Reunion I would appreciate it if you would let me know at once, and if there are a sufficient number I will immediately get out cards.
Again I have to report the death of a very popular member of our class; Max Bonter died October 4 of high blood pressure and was buried on October 8. Max had had high blood pressure for some time and had been obliged six months previously to retire from active business and take it easy on his ranch. I have not as yet received the full details regarding him, but will give these in a later column when I have the additional information. Max was a very active worker in the class, always took great delight in visiting with '09 men and was a great help to your secretary in picking up information from time to time. Max will certainly be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I was very happy to receive a letter from Jess Hawl'ey recently saying he was back to work, although forced to take it easy and not work quite as strenuously as he had in the past. He had spent considerable time in Florida absorbing the sunshine, and reported he was really feeling very fit.
"Nut" Root informs me Jack Childs has recently been appointed sales promotion manager and editor of the two house publications of Davidson Manufacturing Corporation of Chicago. "Nut" said he met Jack a short time ago and he is the same old Jack and hasn't changed a particle. I don't think anybody who knew Jack could doubt that.
Nancy Farley, daughter of "Mike" and Virginia, was married on September 22 to Rodney P. MacPhie AUS of West Newton, Mass., in Newtonville.
George Adams recently dropped in to see me and was in fine fettle. His two boys who have been sick since coming out of the Army are improving rapidly. George's brother was with him and he could not understand the Dartmouth spirit. I tried to tell him a little something about it but all he could do was marvel and not really understand it.
The College is approaching us on the question of a Class Memorial Fund, which is being set up by many of the classes. This was taken by your executive cofnmittee some time ago 3nd it was felt that we had better not attempt to do this, inasmuch as our class had never been able to reach more than its quota in the Alumni Fund, and we felt that- anything wjjich would go to the Memorial Fund would interfere with reaching our quota on the other. If there is some good Santa Claus in the class who would like to start in with a good donation to start the ball rolling, I wish he would let me know, and perhaps we could make a start. Or if anybody has any other ideas I would be glad to receive them.

Major "Buster" Brown's present address is 3764 Benton St., N.W., Washington, D. C. Bob Burns and I attended the Dartmouth- Yale game and even with a spy glass we were only able to detect Chappelear and "Curt" Hilliard. It was a fine game and a good time was had by all. It was too bad more '09ers were not there to enjoy the party.
