Dick Watts writes Al Frey: "I was in Hanover for the Penn game. Saw Eddie and Ginney Bowen and Sherm Adams, also Hazel Macomber, but I was with my son and family. My grandson is on the squad, so I didn't get around much."

A few items about Laura and Bill Carter were gleaned from their Christmas letter: "Bill and Laura have been climbing mountains together for nearly 58 years. . . . Our most recent ascent brought us back to the Southwest, for which we are deeply grateful. . . . On our way we had the pleasure of a visit with son Doug, Terry, and Bill Jr. in Reston, Va. In early September our three hosts left for their annual sojourn to the Maine coast. Most unexpectedly, #2 daughter, Judy Carter Lively, gave birth to twin daughters who decided to come one month early. The Lively family lives only a short distance from us so we are getting acquainted with our new great-grandchildren, so now there are three. So here we are settled into a lovely duplex condominium in Sun City West, Ariz. From our west window we look out upon gardens with many types of trees, some citrus with golden fruit, ready for picking."

Gloria Negri, staff writer on The BostonGlobe, has done an excellent centerpiece on page two of the November 18 issue on Sherm Adams. It covers his life from his birth in East Dover, Vt., to his work at Loon Mountain. It touches on the Dartmouth years, early and later business activities, and state and national politics. There is a picture from the Eisenhower era and an excellent shot of him doing paperwork in his office at Loon Mountain.

Looking back to September 1923: Our class communications of the time reported that Roc Elliott was married on August 27 to Laura Wright Lewis and that they are living in Somerville. Roc is with the William Whitman Company selling cotton yarns. . . .Announcements have been received of the marriage of Ted Marden to Mary Elizabeth Lyle. They will live in Littleton as Ted is with the Parker Young Company, manufacturers of paper. . . . John Felli is in the treasurer's department of General Motors Corporation in New York City. . . . Nate Whiteside is in the sales department of the American Bank Note Company in Chicago. . . . Carl Newton arrived in Boston after an extremely interesting year at Oxford. He received his B.A. and B.C.L. from Oxford and is planning to go to Harvard Law School next year. . . . Al Frey's resignation as treasurer was reluctantly accepted at the June meeting. Al has felt that work on the Alumni Fund should be separated from class finances. Al's work on the fund has put '20 in an enviable position. . . . Following Art Stockdale's resignation as secretary, Al Cate was elected. He is to continue as editor of "Twenty."
