Mrs. Lucia Watkins Bayley, wife of our long-time secretary, Edwin A. Bayley, died inLexington, Mass., February 13, 1946, after a long illness. She was a constant attendant at our Reunions, before her health failed and was much interested in all the affairs of the class families. She leaves a daughter, Marion, wife of Dr. E. P. Buchanan, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and three grandchildren.

The Secretary had the privilege of presiding as a pinch hitter, at the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Association on February 19. Fifty-eight members and guests were present.

St. Petersburg is fairly bursting at the seams with the largest number of winter visitors in years. From the number of cars on the streets it would seem that every one in the country owning a car had come to Florida in search of the traditional sunshine of which St. Petersburg claims to have the greatest portion in all of the country, excepting parts of the arid West. One of our daily papers is responsible for the name "Sunshine City," by giving away absolutely free its home edition every day the sun fails to shine before three o'clock in the afternoon, the time the paper goes to press. The average number of free issues over a long period of years is a little over four a year.

Secretary and Treasurer, 433 4th St., N., St. Petersburg 4, Fla.
