Class Agent, JOHN P. BROOKS 101 Highland Ave., Middletown, N. Y.

The annual meeting of the Florida Alumni Association was held at the Lakewood Country Club on April 9. Forty-seven members and guests greeted President Dickey, who made St. Petersburg a port of call on his way from Miami to Winter Park. The President's informal talk gave us a new realization of the problems confronting the Trustees as the College faces decreased enrollment and continued heavy costs of operation.

Mr. and, Mrs. John P. Brooks have returned from a three months sojourn at Southern Pines, N. C. John, President Emeritus of Clarkson School of Technology, Potsdam, N. Y., will attend Commencement there and then go to his old home at Eliot, Me., for the summer. His daughter Elizabeth will also be in Eliot for the summer.

Mrs. Charles F. Chase spent the winter at Stuart, Fla. The secretary and Mrs. Austin after spending their 28th winter in St. Petersburg are now in their summer home at Warner, N. H. As usual they made the trip over the road and marveled anew at the changes that have taken place since their first trip in 1923. Then two weeks were spent covering the 1600 miles, now four or five days are all that are necessary. Not only have the roads been vastly improved but tourist cabins, many with accommodations equal to high class hotels, border the highways. One wonders whether the investment made brings adequate return. Judging by the new cabins constantly being erected the answer would seem to be in the affirmative.

Secretary and Treasurer, Warner, N. H.
