The Bureau of Vital Statistics (1932 division) is pleased to announce the accession of three young adventurers. Herewith are the details about - these babies and their fathers, given according to date of arrival. To Dr. and Mrs. George Hahn, a fourth daughter, Doretta, born July 16, 1944. The Hahns are looking forward to the arrival of their fifth daughter in August 1946. Dr. Hahn seems very sure of the sex of the expected addition, but since he is a gynecologist, he may have ways of knowing for sure where the rest of us guys can only guess. George has just been appointed gynecologist to the American Oncologic Hospital, and is member and treasurer of the Committee for the Study of Pelvic Cancer. George's name appears fairly often in various medical journals. Latest reprints of his work to reach this desk include a paper on the role of injudicious endocrine therapy in the delayed diagnosis of uterine cancer, and another on procedures connected with radium treatment of benign uterine conditions. George's fellow-doctors may be interested in writing for copies: he is in the Medical Tower Bldg., 255 South 17th St. Philadelphia 3. Accession number two arrived to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Collins on October 22, 1945. Name: Margery Cresap Cojlins. Larry, until recently a resident of Connecticut, says that the UNO site had nothing to do with his recent purchase of a building-establishment-dwelling at 34 Hawthorne Rd., Summit, N. J., into which he hopes to move soon. Larry's new job is in industrial chemistry, sales engineering work for the Oakite Co., who concern themselves with all kinds of preparations for the cleaning of metals in industrial use. For a while Larry will be legging it on the western circuit seeing that the various company representatives are getting along all right. We had a very pleasant evening with the Collinses late in February. Margery's grandparents are neighbors of ours. One development: Larry can fly and is pretty close to buying himself a plane. Accession number three was born to Joy and Bill Mackinney on February 7, 1946, weighing seven pounds and named William Richardson Mackinney Jr. The young William's pediatrician is Sherman Little '29. Bill Sr. was very busy with the lamp and bulb division of Westinghouse until the strike; presumably he will be just as busy shortly. Meantime he bought a new home in October, sold it in January, and now has a place on Franklin Ave., Secane, Pa.

Art Blais' orbit crossed that of George Hahn when the latter was in Boston in the winter; Art is working for Mahady Co. (the spelling is my guess), a medical supply and equipment house. Milt Burns and Hank Barber are said to be working for Jean Alan Rug Cos. I hear that one of Dan Kraft's associates at International Silver is Alf McLaughlin, but would like to have this corroborated. Joe Boldt, wartime worker for Pratt and Whitney engines in East Hartford until last May or thereabouts, is now working for Audio Productions, 9th Ave. and 42nd St., N. Y. C. The Boldts have one son and live at Radburn, N. J., near Ridgewood. Stu Thatford is reported to have left Baltimore and moved to Arizona. About the first of the year Bob Riddell's engagement to Elizabeth Lee White was announced. She is the daughter of David A. White of Buffalo, N. Y. Fred Gage was married January 13, 1946, to Jeanne D. Vant of Fulton, N. Y. Bride and groom were both officers in the Coast Guard, and one of their ushers was Art Allen, former Navy 'officer. They are now living in New Rochelle where Fred is an attorney. Pete Cygan, formerly a Connecticut State Trooper, and for some years engaged in juvenile court work in Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan, is now connected with the juvenile court at Norwalk, and will assist in handling cases referred to that court. Hanover visitors in January included the Ray Bartletts, in February the Paul Dunns and the John Clarks, John Van Buskirk, Chuck Owsley, Cal Geary, and John Keller. How were things up there, boys and girls? That's a question to which I would like an answer from others also.

NOT QUITE SINGING YET, three friends get together on the Tavern Steps at the annual Dartmouth Alumn! Dinner in Boston on Feb. 27. Left to right, they are Cramp Carrick '35, Wes Beattie '33 and Bud Cahoon '35.
