THE annual dinner of the Dartmouth Club was held on February 19 with fifty-five in attendance. Men from other colleges don't see how we can get so many Dartmouth men together here. We don't. But Dartmouth Alumni take pleasure in inviting to such events the wives, sisters, friends and parents, whenever possible. Our president-elect, Frank E. Leavitt, was an "Aggie" in the class of 1891, and has sent three sons through Dartmouth, one grandson, and has others coming along. Howard D. Atwood '05 was chosen vice president, and Carroll E. Hill '20 secretary, both of whom are located in business here.
The speaker of the evening was President- Emeritus Franklin W. Johnson of Colby College, Waterville, Maine. While headmaster of several preparatory schools he sent boys to Dartmouth who gained prominence there, and in the reconstruction of the Colby campus in a new location on the outskirts of Waterville, he had the counsel of President Hopkins, former Trustee Hilton, and Architect Larson, all of Dartmouth. These associations enabled him to give his remarks a personal touch.
The following alumni were present: H. H. Austin '85, W. P. Kelly '86, H. E. Gage '87, S. E. Johnson '87, H. M. Frost '89, F. E. Leavitt Ag. '91, W. C. Aborn '93, A. D. Arnold '93, R. C. Ebbs '93, F.
