Word has just been received of the death of classmate Albert J. Powers. He had not been in good health for several years. At this writing, the only information I have is that he died August 30. Mr. Powers lived in Woodstock, Vermont, where he was a druggist for many years. He was a non-graduate. At the time we were about to celebrate our Golden Anniversary, I called on classmate Powers and urged him to join us at the Reunion. He had then been in retirement several years. He expressed his desire to attend the Reunion, but, on account of poor health, he could not join us.
Some weeks ago "Tommy" Thompson wrote that he was spending the summer at Isleboro, in the wilds of Maine, and that the whole Thompson Clan was gathered there for the summer and for as much longer as they wished to stay.
Joel Harley writes that he has so far recovered from his tedious illness as to be able to get about and can even drive his car for a short distance. He and Mrs. Harley celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in June. They plan to spend the winter at their home in Winter Park, Florida.
Long before these notes appear in print, we shall doubtless all have received the Post-Reunionist and learn more in detail about the goodly number of the class from their open letters.
