ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON, December 29, the Dartmouth Club of Cincinnati enjoyed a holiday party at the new home of Hass Warrener '39. The special guests of the afternoon were the undergraduates now in Hanover and those young men of the Cincinnati area who hope to trek to Hanover next fall. While the holidaying undergraduates were being bombarded with questions concerning the latest events on the Hanover scene and the prospective Dartmouth men were learning about the many pleasantries of a Dartmouth education, Hass adeptly performing as the genial host of the afternoon plied his guests with tasty and tempting beverages with which to ward off the wintry blasts of Cincinnati.
Art Motch '38 revived many fond memories among the assembled alumni and awakened new hopes in the ranks of the prospective Dartmouth men with his showing of some Carnival movies. Following the movies, Robert B. Keeler '11 gave a short and interesting talk on the staging of the first Dartmouth Winter Carnival which took place while he was an undergrad.
Due to the usual rush of the holiday season and the pressure of year-end business, the monthly luncheon was not held in December but will be resumed in January. The exact date of the Winter Dinner has not been set but at the present it looks as though it will be held at the University Club in early February.
Sandy Courter '41 is the Club's latest addition to "the Proud Pop Group" with the birth of a son—John Andrew Courter.
