It being June, 'tis fitting our news this month should be of weddings, past and present. And the tidings are that Jim Bovaird made his way to the altar with Elaine Frances Tobin on June 6. We're sure that Jim's the luckiest of men, and Elaine must indeed be quite a catch to have removed this perpetual stag from circulation. Coming less than a month after Pete Henderson's splicing, this is almost too much to take. The ranks of '51 bachelorhood must be shattered beyond repair.

Elaine is a Hinsdale, Ill., girl, who attended the University of Colorado. Jim, of course, hails from Mount Airy, Penna., and, as we mentioned recently, is currently in the New York City operation of Armstrong Cork. They were to be married in the River Forest, Ill., Presbyterian Church.

And in an April wedding of which we've just learned, Gerard Shaw and Joan Marie O'Leary were married in Milton, Mass. Joan graduated from the Boston College School of Education. Ushers at the wedding included a couple of familiar names, Joe Morelli and Dick Price.

From elsewhere we hear that. . . Herb Robbins is a buyer with Associated Merchandise Co. in New York. . . . Casey McKibben is selling for Wehr Steel Co. o£ Milwaukee. . . . Egon Kramer lists himself as "farmer," giving an address of "Headlong Hall, Centreville, Md." . . . Bill Foster's an insurance counselor in the Hartford area, lives in WethersHeld. . . . Bob Hirschman has the tongue-twisting address of the month — Blittersdorfplatz 39, Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

That being the sum total of class news for the month, this is our swan song until the ALUMNI MAGAZINE resumes publication in early fall after the summer layoff. I wish this column had been longer and better, and trust that those next year will be. We have a couple of changes and new ideas to that end in mind. But there's no substitute for letters from you fellows, and there's no way for me to get them unless you write them. Let's hear from you more often in the future.
