A note from Mrs. Rowell advises that daughter Margaret (Mrs. Paul Nichols) is the mother of Barbara Jean Nichols, born January 22, 1947. Announcement of Barbara's arrival is made by her brother, David Rowell Nichols. The Nichols family is living with Mrs. Rowell at 9 Gil man St., Everett, Mass., while Mr. Nichols is studying at Harvard for his Ph.D in Economics.

Seems too bad that "Bob" Ebbs was taken to the Morton Plant Hospital at Clearwater with an asthmatic condition just in time to miss the Dartmouth Alumni dinner at St. Petersburg, February 24. However, Mrs. Lucius Mason, Arthur Arnold and your secretary represented '93 at that very enjoyable affair. According to late reports "Bob" is better.

Had a nice letter from Dr. Martyn under date of February 8. After his "check-up" at the hospital in January, he returned home and resumed his practice with an assistant to drive him about. He says, "Tests, examinations and X-rays showed no organic trouble, but I am not 100% yet."

Since writing the above we learn that he was again taken to the hospital, February 28, with expectation of an operation about a week later. No further information as of this writing.

Our beloved "Shorty" Bowers had a serious collapse early in February and was taken to the Little Falls, New York, Hospital; February 22 he returned to his brother's home and is gradually regaining his strength.

Frank Pelton writes from his home at Miami, Fla., that cool weather has struck Miami this winter but has not cooled his interest in Dartmouth and '93. Your secretary is hoping to see him soon.

Judge Griffith, finding it necessary to be in New York on legal business, visited son, Tom '2l and family.
