"Tommie" Thompson holds the spot-light at this writing. By the way, his Massachusetts family all call him "Tompy" (phonetic spelling).

It has been "Tompy's" habit to come East every summer and spend it with his son Wolcott's family in Winchester, and for several weeks the whole family summers at Rockport, Mass., at spacious headquarters at the top of Cape Ann, "Land's End", a delightfully restful spot in view of Thatcher's Isand and the wide open sea. At "Tompy's" cordial invitation, several times repeated, my lady, Anne, and I spent several very happy days at Land's End in August.

I have on this 4th day of October received a letter from George Mclndoe. It reads as follows: "I am planning to go to Fairlee Monday, October 4. I am due at White River Jet., at 3:50 P.M. and have thirty minutes to wait. If you are home and not too busy come over to the station and we can have a little chat. Will be glad to see you if you can come."

At this writing the train has not arrived but I plan to be at the station for that little chat with Mclndoe.
