Springfield, Vt.

The Dartmouth Club of Springfield, Vermont took off oh a flying start for its 1948-49 schedule at a dinner meeting on September 3 at "Stellafane,'' world famous home of the Springfield Telescope Makers. While the numbers were somewhat smaller than usual, the quality of the meeting was tops, including the super-super chicken dinner put on by Alec MacPherson in the best tradition of Ross McKenney.

Because of the near approach of college opening, none of the Hanover group could be with us, but no Dartmouth group is ever dumb and the discussion ranged from the murals to the Second College Grant, with all kinds of way stations in between.

As we reluctantly tore ourselves away the only comment was "when do we meet again?
